This site explains tax and registration procedures in Pakistan in plain terms. It is written carefully and dated honestly, and it is still general information rather than advice on your position.

General Information, Not Advice

Pages on this site describe how a procedure generally works — who must register, what a return contains, when it is due. They cannot take account of your income, your business, your history of filing or the particular facts of your matter, all of which change the answer.

Acting on general information without checking it against your own circumstances is how avoidable problems start. If a page here raises a question about your position, ask us or ask another professional before acting on it.

Rates, Rules and Dates Change

Each page states the material it was built from and the month it was checked.

  • Rates and thresholds change with every Finance Act, and often through notifications and S.R.O.s in between
  • FBR, SECP and the Punjab Revenue Authority revise forms, portals and procedures without notice
  • Deadlines can be extended, and extensions are sometimes announced days before a due date
  • A page checked in September 2026 may be out of date by the time you read it

This is why the practice checks current official material before filing rather than relying on what was true last year, and why this site does not publish rate tables that would quietly go stale.

Reading this site, sending an enquiry or having a preliminary conversation does not create a client relationship. The terms on which we act are set out in the terms of use.

Where we do act, we cannot and do not guarantee any particular result from any authority. Registration approvals, verifications, processing times, assessments and appeals are decisions of the authority concerned.

The Scope of This Practice

Usman Tax Consultants provides tax registration, return filing and compliance services. It does not hold itself out as a law firm or as a firm of chartered accountants, and does not offer audit services or legal representation under any such description.

Matters that turn on legal interpretation, litigation or appeals are handled by a colleague holding an LLB and an LLM with twelve years of experience, as described on the About page. Where a matter needs someone else entirely, we say so.
